On June 21, 2023, Marvel Studios finally released their newest MCU series, namely Secret Invasion. We can watch the first series from MCU Phase 5 via the Disney+ streaming service and several other websites every Wednesday and have a total of six episodes. It's a shame, when the first episode of the series, starring Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, actually made the audience very disappointed.
“Secret Invasion”'s AI skill simply draws from what has been created before and renders it a tasteless creation. At first, it might be difficult for some people to notice, because it is similar to the animation that was shown before.
Reviews for the first episode of Secret Invasion have been mixed, and now has a 57% score on Rotten Tomatoes from 14 critics. This ultimately made Secret Invasion the first MCU series to have its first episode get a bad score on the Rotten Tomatoes website. This score is obtained by the series because it has a storyline that is too 'serious'.
Not only are the characters displayed out of shape, but the audience can see how artificial they are. It's as if it looks like it hasn't been fully rendered or finalized and was intentionally left incomplete. Some think the visual effects team did it in a hurry and were very lazy.
Those who are pro AI will state that it is just a tool used by artists. But to the cons, this opening scene makes the tool look like a useless tool. The depiction of Jackson's face combined with the Skrull's, was also considered to look very bad in the wrong way.
Several people are clamoring about how AI will represent the future of creativity. However, there are still many people who want to create or see original works of art and preserve art that has been created with great care and taste.
